Off the prompt "cuddles."

Castiel is thousands of years old, or more, depending on how you want to play the mythology, but certainly not less, and Dean's life is a blink in the oceans, to mix metaphors. Why isn't there more Highlander style angst with this pairing? Not that I necessarily want to read more angst, I just don't get why it never comes up even long enough to handwave.
