A chance. Not, not a huge one. But I got like, eighteen hours of sleep and my brain found some sort of on switch and it possible I'll be able to write, so, say hi, drop me a fandom we have in common, I'll try to write you a snippet.

If you could chain me to a laptop and make me write any story you wanted, what would you choose?

If you could chain me to a laptop and make me vid any vid you wanted, what would you choose?

Tell me your favorite story I've never written. Summary, quotes, favorite bits, whatever you like.

It's been ages and ages since I did a proper prompts post with like, multiple fandoms on offer, and also very long since I've written anything off a prompts post.

My goal is to write maybe ten scenes off prompts at a thousand words each; please recall that the last time I set out to write a thousand word fic, this happened, so a) I may not get to everyone and b) someone may get a surprise epic. But MY GOAL IS to write ten or a dozen roughly thousands-word stories. PS whoever asked me for "Ruby is Dean's mother" THAT FILE IS STILL OPEN AND MOCKS ANY WORD LIMITS I TRY TO IMPOSE ON IT.

--Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
--Vorkosigan Saga
--V60 (aka, Matt and Danny from Studio 60 work for Impsec on Barrayar... it's a whole thing)
--Iron Man movies
--Glass Houses (epic Weiß Kreuz AU, I'm around chapter 130 on reread at the moment, YAY BRADPARENTS)
--White Collar
--Supernatural, although I should warn you I haven't watched the last three episodes so depending on prompt, you might get STRAWBERRY JELL-O.

I will consider other fandoms you know me to have consumed in the past. For instance *glances at [personal profile] grey_bard* just last night I became enamored of the idea of a HL/SPN crossover in which the boys know perfectly well about Immortals, they're just like FUCKING SEACOUVER, LET'S NEVER GO THERE. *grins*

I work best with prompts that are specific but brief enough to capture in ten words or less.

[personal profile] j_crew_guy is hosting a Thousand and one drabbles meme that I plan to participate in as soon as there's prompts in fandoms I recognize.

I don't have enough plotbunnies (ahahaahha ahem) so today I'm taking prompts in limited fandoms--

Good Omens (do not bother asking for crossovers, it is meaningless, SPN is GO fanfic)

Sorry I'm not up to more fandoms right now, but if it helps at all, you can request specific AUs in progress (ie, V60, Rubyverse, the John and Ruby Show, etc).

The more specific you are, the more likely you are to catch my fancy! (Unless you're so specific I'm like, "or you could write it yourself." All things in moderation, even specificity?) I ship clusterfuck for Supernatural and will write most pairings, with a handful of exceptions you're unlikely to hit unless you're trying to get up my nose.

So! Who wants fic?
jmtorres: (uncertainty)
Internets, I am bored and alone. Sure, I could read any of the 63 tabs I have open (wow, that's actually not as many as I was expecting) or do chores or something, but why would I do that when I have all of you (and only half an hour before I leave for work)?

I want to write. I'm predicting Supernatural with a chance of White Collar (and for the record, I am not entertaining any crossovers, although other forms of crack are welcome). Would anyone like to toss me prompts?

ETA: Internets, you disappoint me. I have done chores. And now I'm going to vid.

Dear internets,

I continue to have like, fourteen epic stories rolling around the inside of my head and not across my keyboard. I propose that to get the ball rolling, you should give me prompts that I might be tempted to write.

current fandoms:
White Collar
I, uh, that is to say, Tru Calling, but only the episodes with Luc in
Supernatural (although seriously I have watched like, 23 episodes of Supernatural, tops)
Flashforward (ask me about the book, oh, I haven't read it but the wiki entry is hilarious)

I might be inspired to write older fandoms, but likelihood decreases with age.

Give me a question, connection, juxtaposition, with, if you like, a character, pairing, or grouping.

I am vidding, so of course I think I might like to do some writing now.

Things what I have watched recently:
Being Human
Logan's Run
Zero Population Growth
Dark City
(and have read) Vorkosigan

Anyone have requests for fic?
jmtorres: From Lady Gaga's Bad Romance music video; the peach-haired, wide-eyed iteration (Default)
So my life has been very a) busy and b) sucky of late. I want fic to cheer me up. I even have a good long fic open to curl up with when I have sufficient spare time to do so. Time is something I have none of.

Would anyone like to write me comment fic? I might have time to read comment fic. (Probably. DW comment lengths being what they are, I do say probably. *laugh*)

I want to read about Read more... )

Old fandoms may be reopened with comment fic. And it is possible that if you write me a scene I might be inspired to write you one in reply.

I am trying to kickstart my writing brain and am looking at the last set of prompts I gathered from April and feeling guilty over only having written one of them but I. I can't kick into gear on stuff from back then, I'm not sure why.

Anyway! Prompt me with a fandom, a character or pairing, and a ghost of an idea.

Fandoms that currently have their claws in:
Star Trek: Reboot and Star Trek: Enterprise (apparently my love for Trek is somewhat trashy at the moment)

Other than that... You know I would actually kind of like to have my brain back from Trek ever again? So you could toss stuff I might know at me and see what sticks. (Dollhouse, Chuck, Vorkosigan, Gone with the Wind, I do not know than of those would stick but you can TRY.)

It's been a while since I've done a writing prompt request post and even longer since I've successfully written much from one, but hey, let's break champagne over the bow of the good ship Dreamwidth! And if you have wandered over from another service and made the effort of signing in with openID to comment with a prompt, I will make a special effort to fill your request.

Fandoms I have paid attention to lately:
  • Chuck (I am presently caught up on Chuck, though I may not be immediately so tomorrow)

  • Highlander (Mostly Methos at the moment, though some Amanda, but I have seen the whole series + Raven + ... some of the movies, and can do a little reserch if necessary)

  • Dollhouse (would prefer not to write about Ballard)

  • Merlin (while I keep reading fic, it's been about four months since I've watched the show, fair warning)

  • Boston Legal (a bit rusty, it's been a few months since I watched any I am not sure I could write anyone but Denny and Alan and maybe Shirley though)

  • Tin Man (likewise rusty)

  • Vorkosigan (probably, I can actually handle Vorkosigan canon? More hilariously I could give you this fusion universe [personal profile] niqaeli and I have wherein folks from Studio 60 and Numb3rs and possibly one or two other places work for ImpSec.)

  • Howling (yes, Howling but not SG1. I know, I'm brilliant)

  • XFP (but only if you know enough to know what you're asking for *G*)

The more specific you are in your prompt, the more likely I am to be able to fulfill it. Actually, I deal with restrictive styles very well and may be defaulting to "5 things that never x" if I am having a hard time with a prompt in general, so if you want to use the 5 things prompt from the get-go, that's cool too.

So! *rubs hands together* Who wants fic?

ETA: If you love me you'll put a title on your comment so gmail starts a new thread for me.

The story I wrote for [ profile] unovis_lj got longer than comment length. Whoops. 1074 words.

Is set in the Torchwood happyverse, which is (named for making me happier, not for making the characters happier) an AU in which, among other things, Tosh and Jack get stuck in the past permanently. Also on AO3.

This is something like the postcard porn I wrote for [ profile] blueraccoon, but a bit longer :-) See, I was going for Mal/Simon, which I know she likes, but the crazy space incest lives in my head all the time and it just kinda crept in. Or bounded. You know.
