pop quiz

What is your favorite episode or movie of Trek? Any series. Tell me why.

I am exceptionally fond of DS9 "The Wire" personally. Because you know, I ship Bashir/Garak a lot and Garak snarking about the value of truth and lies is awesome. I also quite like TNG "Tapestry," for the moment where Picard rolls over to discover Q in bed with him.

I like a lot of DS9 and TNG eps and find it hard to pick a favourite, but I really like the TNG ep "Masks", which doesn't seem all that popular. It's the one where Data is possessed by a cultural archive in a comet, and Picard has to role-play as his consort to save the Enterprise. It's kind of slashy and it's delberately strange and it has Brent Spiner playing several different personae in the same episode.

Attempting to just pick one would be next to impossible, so have a list of a few of my favourites instead.

Past Tense
Rejoined
Empok Nor
In the Pale Moonlight
Take Me Out To the Holosuites
Badda-Bing Badda-Bang
The Best of Both Worlds
Ship in a Bottle
All Good Things

If I had to pick one, probably I'd go with Past Tense. I love the time travel aspect, the social commentary aspect, and it's just an awesome story too. Though possibly Badda-Bing Badda-Bang instead, because it's just so damn fun, and I'm totally hot for Ezri in the cocktail waitress outfit.

Lower Decks, from TNG. Searching for Par'maq In All The Wrong Places, DS9, if I'm getting the title correct. Ooh, The Inner Light--I taught myself to play Picard's song on my recorder because of that. Hm, Far Beyond The Stars was an awesome one for Avery Brooks.

If I sit here long enough I'm probably going to go through all of 'em, heh.
