jmtorres: Nic Lea played a robot on Outer Limits. Dose of denial: Krycek replicant. (Krycek)

Krycek

I mentioned Krycek while talking with some anime fen, and received blank looks.

I'm sorry, even if you are primarily anime and not live action, how can you not have heard of Krycek?

[Poll #500052]

I love Krycek, and at one time read a lot of Krycek fic, but have no interest in writing him.

But anyone who hasn't heard of him is dumb and mute and blind.

And he grew his arm back and killed that bastard Mulder and the other bastard Skinner and lived happily ever after with Methos, the end.

*koff*

What?

*snugs the foxlet*

Also, deaf.

[identity profile] bethos.livejournal.com 2005-05-24 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I never watched X-Files when it was on, but it's in my Netflix queue and I know Krycek inside and out from fic ... not that I've written him. He's just so pretty.

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-24 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
*snicker*

Cory Raines?

[identity profile] ranalore.livejournal.com 2005-05-24 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmm, I do like Cory. But I was actually thinking Krycek. It would be the Grey Unification!

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-24 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
See? See? He's everywhere! Even not having watched X-files, you knew him! Because he is the little black dress of fandom!

Also, I hope you're not renting seasons of XF just for Krycek. He averaged about two episodes per season.

[identity profile] speshope.livejournal.com 2005-05-24 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, I've seen like, one episode of X-Files with him in it ever and I didn't recognize him until someone said his name, but I know who he is, dang it. He's in every fandom everywhere! How can anime people not know him? He'd fit into so many anime fandoms as well, as long as there were guns! Or even if not!

[identity profile] inarticulate.livejournal.com 2005-05-24 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I never ever watched any X-Files, and I know who he is-- vaguely. But that could be because I've heard you mention him. ;)

Kidding. I read X-Files fic a while back when I was less discriminating, and he featured prominantly in quite a few. :)

[identity profile] bethos.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, no. There's also Mulder. And like, this strange desire I apparently have to exist in all the fandoms I can gather ...

I have the sneaking suspicion the Andromeda that just came in the mail is at least partially your fault. ;-)

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
...Now I want to write a Krycek/WK crossover.

Oh, my brain hurts.

But, yeah. Seriously.

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
he featured prominantly in quite a few. :)

That's our boy. To read the fic, you'd think he was one of the stars of the show.

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
*cracking up*

Okay, so I should be mentioning that Rhade averaged about two episodes a season--in the good seasons?

[identity profile] cygna-hime.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, I've never seen any X-Files, and I still have heard of him (and that he's the little black dress of the fandom). How can you not have heard of him?

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly! He is everywhere. Like Carmen San Diego.

[identity profile] bethos.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
Hehehe, I'm sure I'll survive -- I watch all manner of really terrible TV.

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, me too.

[identity profile] cygna-hime.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
...Goddammit, no you've got that song stuck in my head. ("Where! In time! Is Carmen San Diego? *la la la la don't know this bit* We're on the case and we're chasing her through history!") The difference being that, when I was little, I watched that show. And have a spin-off book, to boot. Because I am Teh Pathetic.

Gosh. I still have an XF/HL crossover WIP, where Rachel's an alien and Krycek killed her on Duncan's barge, thereby ruining his rug. Duncan had him up against the wall within 30 seconds (taffeta, darling).

[identity profile] tarzanic.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Sexy rat bastard, he was.

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
I have the board game!

She's a sticky-fingered filcher from Berlin down to Belize...

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
*cracking up* Taffeta rug?

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Ratboy! I knew I was leaving an option off the poll...

Oh no!! It was a 700-year-old Persian rug. Krycek's dress is taffeta, darling.

[identity profile] jmtorres.livejournal.com 2005-05-25 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Bwahahahahahahaha.

So where might one find snippets of this...?
