You all know I don't live here anymore, right?
Hi! Hi, hi there everyone. This here is an informational post, for me and for you, and especially for the folks who have been turning up since
vividcon. This (livejournal) is no longer my primary journal. I have a dreamwidth account:
jmtorres. I really like dreamwidth, I'm happy there, I think it would be awesome if my entire friends list moved over because I have a hard time remembering to keep up with people on livejournal. That's my happy fantasy land that you're under no obligation to fulfill.
If you want to leave a comment on any dreamwidth entry of mine (since I have closed comments on livejournal to consolidate conversations in one place), at present you have to log in to dreamwidth via openID before going to the comment page (there is a bug that greys out the 'comment with openID' option on comment pages when anon commenting is off; I hear it's being fixed at next codepush). (OpenID is not scary. OpenID means you tell dreamwidth your livejournal handle, dreamwidth refers you to livejournal to confirm you are you, and then you can leave comments on dreamwidth with yourhandle.livejournal.com.)
If you want a dreamwidth account of your very own, I have some invite codes lying around. Leave your email in the text entry box in the poll if you want one.
My general plan involves eventually phasing out my use of this journal friendslist entirely, after dreamwidth is out of beta, because dreamwidth is planning several exciting features that would allow me to add LJ friends to my dreamwidth reading list, including friends-lock and filtered entries if you have me friended. But that still leaves the question of what, if anything, I should continue to cross-post to livejournal for your benefit.
