*wibble*

So I've started looking for Castiel/Gabriel fic. It is thin on the ground. Oh well. But so there's one on delicious entitled "Incestuous Adventures in Post-Apocalyptic Dating," by a deleted user named [livejournal.com profile] not_refined. As the user is deleted, the fic is not accessible. Does anyone know where to find a copy of this story? Based purely on the title I am pretty sure I would enjoy it immensely.

From a bit of Googling, it looks like there was a concerted effort to archive many fics by that author, but I don't know anything about the circumstances. Something feels odd here. There's an empty IJ with that username, never used.

I don't see that particular fic, but there are others:

This will probably be a long shot but ...

You might try feeding the original URL (http://not-refined.livejournal.com/126017.html) to the Wayback Machine in a few weeks or months. It doesn't give a result right now, but it does give results for some other entries and mentions that 'it typically takes about six months for a collected page to show up'. The fic was posted in late November 2009 and it's early April 2010 now, so ... I did say it was a long shot.

I found her fic for you! In pdf form. I don't know if the one you're looking for is in there, but that seems to be the only place it's still available.
