Friending policy

Everyone's doing it.

1. I friend everyone who friends me, with the following exceptions:
--If you are underage and it is readily apparent when I glance at your userinfo and go, "1989???"
--If you have not posted in over a month. I check these 'dead' journals periodically and sometimes people post again, so I add them back.

2. I friend other people that I think are interesting.

3. I do not read everyone who's friended me. I have two main lists: Default and NotDefault. I read NotDefault when I'm really, really bored. I don't have enough time in the day to read NotDefault on a regular basis. If you really want to know, you can ask which list you're on.

4. I don't care if you unfriend me. People have all sorts of reasons for unfriending other people. I won't assume you hate me and go home and cry except in the case where you OBVIOUSLY DO.

5. I issue temporary bans when people bring pointy sticks to this journal, even in jest. I do not unfriend them unless they do it constantly or spitefully.

6. If you unfriend me but I still find you interesting, I will keep you on my friendslist. If you would prefer I did not, leave me a note.

*hugs*

Am I default or notdefault?

You're on default.

Back from vacation and checked my reference books, but unfortunately no mention of "hourglass figure". Now this phrase will haunt me!

*If you have not posted in over a month*
Oops! I knew I shouldn't have deleted all my posts in June during a fit of depression!

(whispers) How about you put me on your NotDefault list and say I did?

Damn that phrase! It's like a ghost!

*adds you back to friendslist*

Better?

I should probably have also mentioned: I am aware that there are people who use their livejournals specifically for commenting and less for posting. If you are an active commenter who's never bothered to post, you ought to leave me a note to that effect to get added.

Thanks!

I'm really more of an active lurker than an active commenter, but occasionally the mood strikes to put fingers to keyboard. Huh. I wonder if centuries from now people will ponder the origin of the phrase "put pen to paper"?

Pens will still exist, for use with touch-sensitive screens. Probably less for writing, more for drawing and the like. But paper will be entirely outdated.

paper outdated???

As long as there are toilets, paper will NEVER be outdated!

Oh man. Can you imagine how obscene "putting pen to paper" will sound when the only use for paper is to wipe shit off your ass?

How do you create those groups?
