I got a new follower too and I suspect they're some kind of spammer or whatever.

one is very suspicious for being a journal with no entries in it, though the other does have entries so maybe a real person? otoh both accounts were created in like 2011 that's hella long to sit on an account before spamming ppl with it

I would, but I deleted the notification and don't remember their username, and trying to pick it out from 400+ subscribers is not happening. :/ I'll do that in the future, sorry!

Suspicious follow is enough. I got two, my partner got one; it sounds like a campaign reviving dormant spammer journals.

By the time I checked back on mine an hour later, it had developed an SEO link.

I've also gotten two new people following me in the last two days, and both have DW accounts with fannish content on them. I don't know what's up.

Yeah I just got two new followers who have never posted or commented, who are joined to a couple of different communities, none of which are active.
