truffles

So I was considering making chocolate truffles because I have too much free time and a fair amount of cooking supplies. Only it turns out that I'd be making a batch of like, 15 dozen, so uh, does anyone want homemade truffles?

potential flavors:
--pecan
--walnut
--almond
--hazelnut
--fair warning all the nut ones would probably be made with some form of alcohol
--orange
--lemon
--maple
--honey
--rum
--mint
--am willing to take requests if i can figure out how to do a flavor neatly
--like raspberry ala chambord

Ping if interested with requested flavors, I'll probably figure out the 4-6 favorite flavors that will cause me the least pain and suffering and send out like, a dozen to everyone who wants.

Recipe includes condensed milk and butter, so sadly not for my vegan or dairy-free friends.

mint sounds lovely! *predictable*

hazelnut and pecan are my favourite nuts, though, and I figure the odds of you making some hazelnut are good...

Um yes please? :D

(not walnut, but the rest all sounds good :9)

Heh. Mint, rum, or maple would probably be my top picks? But they all sound good? So I am indecisive?

I love almond but mint sounds amazing and I've never tried it before. Pecan also sounds good and, like mint, is something I haven't tried in a truffle before. (Why are there so many flavor choices? Why must we be tormented with so much good-sounding food to choose from? Who cursed us to live this sorry existence!)

Then put me down for a few of all three, if you make them? Or a mix of those flavors you do make. I'm actually not picky at all, which is where the food indecisiveness comes from. ;)

Hazelnut and maple sound great -- I have never made those. I have made mint, kahlua, chambord (raspberry flavor) and a few other liqueur-tinged ones, usually in the winter. And thank you very much!

Oh, wow! I would never turn down truffles! It's against my religion, I think. :D

I would love any nut, pretty much; in rough order of love: almond, hazelnut, walnut, pecan.

Mint or rum would be more than OK, too, if it turns out everybody else hates nuts for some reason. :D

So excited!

Oh, wow, I would love some if you still have some after everyone above me?

Walnut, hazelnut, or honey all sound amazing.

I would love some, if you are still taking hopefuls. (you should see me snarf up [personal profile] basingstoke's rum truffles every year muahahahah). I'm dairy-free BUT totally take meds for truffles, and will happily eat any flavor, even weird ones, like rosemary and lavender and things like that.

Many of those sound awesome, but particularly maple and mint!

I would think the honey would be too subtle against the chocolate, but man, maple sounds wonderful. And raspberry and mint are classics for a reason. But the suggestion above for rosemary sounds really interesting - an unexpected savoury, the way folks have been using chile with chocolate or sea salt with caramel.

I didn't want to impose, since you have so many requests.
