*p

Are you serious

something like 3 months without a period* and my body decides to rediscover this function on the DAY I am driving six hours.

Apparently if I want a more regular period I should travel more, since last time was when I was flying back from New York.

*We will not be discussing my body's peculiarities or your concern for my health. Do not even.

OH MAN, I HEAR YOU. Despite being taken off the Pill, I've just gone back on for a couple of months, in the desperate hope that I won't be sloughing the lining of my uterus during a 15-hour flight.

AUGH. My period used to flit in and out my life with deliberately obnoxious irregularity - I'd go anywhere from two to four months in between, yet somehow it ALWAYS managed to arrive just in time to be maximally inconvenient. It was especially fond of ruining travel, special occasions, and light-colored trousers.

I've since acquired an armful of other health issues, but for reasons unknown my period has settled down. The timing is still terrible, but at least predictable.

Urgh, why do bodies have such poor timing?

(Also, before I read the asterisk-note, I thought it was going to be along the lines of "Yes, you're jealous, I know; I'll try not to rub it in". Because let's face it, I am SO JEALOUS.)

::stares at own lap::

Why do our uteruses (uterii?) not love us? We feed them, we clothe them, we take them nice places. Whyyyyyy?

Oh yes, there is nothing quite like traveling to get ones period to start. At this point, I just make sure I always carry a maxipad with me when I get on an airplane.
