decontextual: So I start off researching 3490 and then wait, what? Marvel and DC are considered alternate realities in the same multiversal continuum? OW. decontextual: So I'm hideously curious. Does anyone *write* Earth-692? decontextual: I'm comparing Marvel and DC's Earth-numbering. THIS WAY LIES MADNESS. Relevant wikia articles: http://marvel.wikia.com/Multiversehttp://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Multiverse decontextual: ...Marvel has an official designation for actual reality. AFAICT for writing meta crossover fic. Earth-1218, in case a superhero should ask. decontextual: More WTF. Earth-7642 is apparently a universe where Marvel & DC were ALWAYS THE SAME, as opposed getting squished together like Earth-692. decontextual: I frankly feel less crazy for how I store universes in my head now. decontextual: Earth-9591: the universe where radiation actually kills you. decontextual: ...some of these one-line descriptions could be kinkmeme prompts. decontextual: Fuck this wikia might be more dangerous than TVTropes. SEND HELP. decontextual: Never mind could be, almost certain some ARE. Earth-61828: Tony Stark developed an eating disorder. *cracks up* I shouldn't laugh, but what. decontextual: Apparently the ones I care about are Earth-199999 and Earth-80920. And I'm done, I swear!
(Those being the movieverse and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, or, as it's known in this part of town, Unholy Ridiculous, short for "unholy ridiculous fusion of fucking everything," yes. We're pretty sure movieverse Iron Man played a strong role in things like AI Jarvis. [The other half of my "we" is by default niqaeli, btw.] Which is kind of hilarious given the movieverse tends to be leaning hard on Ultimates for some things and Unholy Ridiculous is adorably fluffy. Also I discovered from the wikia that Unholy Ridiculous is within the same designation as another recent animated series, Wolverine and the X-Men, so I've gone looking for that on the theory that Unholy Ridiculous makes me so happy, why shouldn't I?)

So um yes. I educated myself. And a half.
