Hmm

The problem with flashmobbing Walgreens to demand a pap smear and make Fox look stupid is that it inconveniences and embarrasses Walgreens employees, who as far as I can tell haven't done anything to deserve it. Maybe if you like your local Walgreens--or, hell, even if you just don't actively hate them--it might be ethical to call them up and ask them if they are okay being used to make Fox looks stupid before showing up and harassing the pharmacist, even if it makes your whole flash mob less spontaneous.

Damn Skippy.

As far as Fox and Friends is concerned? I smell a lawsuit by walgreens against them.

And I would assume, disrupts all the sensible, non-flashmobbing peole who are there to get whatever medical services Walgreens does provide.

I know Planned Parenthood is a good thing, but if I was standing in line (which is painful) trying to get my medication, and a bunch of people decided to make my day miserable, I'd definitely be less inclined to support "Whatever their cause is" (Which is what a lot of people's knowledge boils down to, sadly) simply because they're putting me through unnecessary pain.

I think publicity stunts meant to use the people around as props and that aren't staged in an area that is actually the cause/has some control of the problem, instead of just standing in for another location, are generally obnoxious. But maybe that's just me and being really annoyed at (pick one), the anti-abortion protesters at my old university, various other protesters at my old uni, outside people choosing university as a great place to publicity troll and who gives a fuck about the students, and the protesters who like to protest in front of a local church that also happens to be a major intersection and bus stop. Of course there's a time and place for protest, but if you're protesting city hall? Do it at city hall, ffs.
