So we just watched the 1998 Avengers movie and that was. Very very homagey. The ones I caught included:

Doctor Who
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
The Wizard of Oz
A Clockwork Orange
Return of the Jedi
Labyrinth
Sherlock Holmes
Highlander

(They were also ripping off the Oxford canon in dialogue every five minutes as well. I mean quoting. And misquoting, to effect.)

I suspect there were more references I didn't catch. I kind of want to inflict this on jetpack_monkey to see how many visual references he recognizes.

I knew this film was awful and silly, but I didn't know it was also the equivalent of Cassie Claire fic.

No--well, yes, by proxy--but I mean "and the part of David Bowie will now be played by Sean Connery." It was rather an extended segment, I thought the reference was over when the maze produced an oubliette, and then Sir de Wynter came out and started goblin kinging it up.
