One hour until I have to leave. Dean and Ruby can stop philosophizing about demonhood in my head now.

Is this the one that I accidentally inspired when I spent ten minutes going "WTF that is backstory!?! That's AN EPIC IN ITS OWN RIGHT! Talk about burying the lead!"

Sorry about that. And yet, it is a story that I really really want to read. Like, a lot. Especially if (spoiler character) turns out to be the person who sent them fleeing from (spoiler place) due to mutually mistaken identity!

Yes, that story, but with a lot more Dean than I was expecting, because apparently it would be deeply dissatisfying to end it with "failure, our mission was a total failure," and so it extends to when they have Dean back. Extends may be the wrong word. I can tell the thing doesn't go in chronological order, and I tried beating it out as them telling Dean being the framing device and that didn't work either--there's too damn much they just don't tell Dean, and things that they do tell him that are only going to be things they tell him, not narrative in their own right. So I'm still trying to find the shape of the damn thing, because that would be awesome to know. *twitch*

I do not object to Dean as long as he does not eat the story. As Dean is wont to do. (I am looking at YOU Supernatural Season 5! THERE ARE TWO WINCHESTERS!)
