Prompts
I am trying to kickstart my writing brain and am looking at the last set of prompts I gathered from April and feeling guilty over only having written one of them but I. I can't kick into gear on stuff from back then, I'm not sure why.
Anyway! Prompt me with a fandom, a character or pairing, and a ghost of an idea.
Fandoms that currently have their claws in:
Star Trek: Reboot and Star Trek: Enterprise (apparently my love for Trek is somewhat trashy at the moment)
Other than that... You know I would actually kind of like to have my brain back from Trek ever again? So you could toss stuff I might know at me and see what sticks. (Dollhouse, Chuck, Vorkosigan, Gone with the Wind, I do not know than of those would stick but you can TRY.)

In a bunch of later TOS books, apparently Uhura was secretly working for Starfleet Intelligence and eventually ended up in charge of it. But before she was a paperpusher she was on the front lines working on a starship *and* secretly for Intelligence at the same time. Reboot Uhura has the same skill set, so... why wouldn't they recruit her again? Maybe younger this time.
Double Oh Uhura! WHEE! Is Spock an Uhura girl? I mean boy. Does Uhura get to swing from anything whilst flourishing a phaser? Inquiring minds want to know!
Alternately...
Everyone - including Spock -seems to think that Spock's personality is entirely a result of biology, but really, how can you tell? I mean, he already has to work really hard to control and restrain his emotions, so the difference would be... what, exactly?
AU!Spock is genetically human. Like, they couldn't figure out how to mix Sarek and Amanda's DNA and she got a sperm donor or something. But actually, aside from the telepathy and the physical traits, he's... pretty much exactly the same. After all, he was still raised on Vulcan in the Vulcan way, and Sarek is still his dad, even if not biologically.

spock/t'pol. ROCK IT.
And Trek *never* gives you your brain back. Just so you're aware.
