Two years and three months after Klaus vanishes: Heterodyne heir A is born.
Another year and a month later (which is totally long enough for Lucrezia to have been pregnant with Heterodyne heir B), the Other attacks.
So we're up to three years and four months, and, hmm, I suppose that is within the time scale of "a few years." For some reason I had processed it as "two" and that wasn't jiving.
Except that... then... how long did it take The Other to lay waste? Are we up to four? Five? More years? Does that still fit in "a few years"?
