Re: Great story

It's not that I necessarily want it to be Moz, it's just that by storytelling conventions it should be someone who's been around for most if not all of the season run, so not Fowler, he doesn't fit the bill. Whereas Moz has been around, has *cough* sort of been useless helping with clues like finding the map on the bottle, and his introduction could arguably be thematic--he's sitting alone in the dark freaking Neal out when he first shows up.

(My main concern is that Eastin will try to be more clever than storytelling conventions, which are conventions for the reason that they're tried and true and emotionally satisfy the audience in the way they resolve but that some green writers like to take apart because they're trite. Television is a hard medium to learn to take apart convention in, you paste up every page of your story on the window before the whole thing's written. Film or novel's better, you can actually get feedback on what works or doesn't work before you release it to the general public. But if Eastin's messing with formula, then all bets are off--it might even be Fowler, heh. Although I hear he tweeted that there were clues since the beginning! As there should have been, since he planted the Kate mystery right at the beginning. That's how you write a mystery.)

Peter is a total grey hat, though. I love his grey hat-ness. By the book? Ha. My favorite "what you say, fandom?" though is Peter being unaware of his feelings for Neal and having to come to terms or being the last to notice. Seriously? In pilot he said to Elizabeth, "He's smart, you know what smart does to me." Yeah, he knows.
