Yeah, the only reason I wasn't the lone freak in high school was because, uh, after making it through 8th grade at a jr. high, I decided I wanted to take a pass on that hell and convinced my parents to home-school me grades 9-12. I had a lot of friends! ...they were just pretty nearly all text on a computer screen.

(Technically, I'd only skipped one grade, but my parents got me into kindergarten early--my birthday fell several months after the cut-off date.)
